Hello, I am currently a junior at a Texas public high school, and an aspiring member of the NYU class of 2020.

Officer of school’s Academic Decathlon team (top 5 state)
Officer of school’s stock investing club.
I acknowledge that my GPA is abysmal compared to the average applicant, and have addressed it in my essay, which concerns my identity crisis of never belonging to one place, and having moved over three countries and two states throughout my life, especially having to move thrice in one year, the stress of which affected my sophomore year performance. In my essay I talk about the stress of losing touch with my friends, and family, and being uprooted into a bizzare new culture, but I also say how my mildly nomadic lifestyle has led me to realize that I am not just a citizen of any one nation, but of the whole world, and has showed me that I must take the special knowledge that each different country or state has provided me and pursue my quest of helping the world. I particularly focused on my “realization of worldly duties” as I am declaring International Business as my major, and hoped that my essay would tie into it.
I am also taking many AP and Honors courses and am performing exceedingly well, with almost straight As (high B in chemistry) and should be able to boost my GPA to
3.5 UW
3.9+ W
by the end of my first senior semester.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read all this and chancing me for NYU, my first choice school.
