Chance me, please! I am new to the site! I need help!

Okay. Well, I had a question on the Transfer board, but nobody answered it, so I figured I ask it here.

If I am able to achieve a 3.8-4.0 GPA at my Community College in California, what are my chances of getting into Pepperdine, UCLA Econ, and USC Marshall if I have NO extracurriculars?

Some people say "all that matters is GPA", while others say "both matter."

I really need help, as I have NEVER gotten ONE final answer.

So... can I get into these schools/programs if I have no extracurriculars, other than a part-time job, and a 3.8-4.0 GPA?

Thank you so very much. You have no idea how thankful I am somebody is taking their time to read this post... and hopefully respond.

Also... what do the phrases 'high reach' and 'low reach', etc. mean in regards to chances of getting in?

Once again, thank you so very very much...

well i'm bad at guessing, but i can explain to you the system people use when they are chancing (roughly).
in order of easiest to get into to hardest to get into, this is roughly what you'll hear:
safety (easiest)
low match
match (middle)
high match
low reach
reach
high reach (hardest)
then some people also say "crapshoot" when referring (usually) to HYPS (harvard, yale, princeton, stanford) type schools when the applicant has excellent stats, just because their admission system is retarded and you can never really know if you'll be accepted.

Is it possible to get into Marshall with a 3.9 and NO EC activities whatsoever?

SOme people here say its been done. Or at least, I read that its been done on the USC Transfer thread.
