chance me please! international student here. (:

Soooo i am interested in dartmouth. I'm asian (singaporean) and basically my scores are
SAT I: CR730 Math 770 W740
SAT Subj: LIT 740 Math II 730

Not stellar, I mean it's alright but there's no outstanding sections. Anyway, I've been in an orchestra (played the cello) and was a section leader. I've participated in numerous school concerts and national competitions (as part of the band), and I'm a member of the Chinese Society and Geography Society as well, and participated in school plays. I'm on a rather prestigious humanities scholarship. I've done at least 200+ hours of community service, dedicated around 50 to the library and around 100 hours to a project that involves helping children from low-income families learn essential skills. (I'm the leader of the project.)

Also, yeah I know chancing is not really...accurate anyway, because there's a lot of other factors besides your portfolio. But I would just like to know whether I stand an equal chance of getting in, or whether I am disadvantaged in any way.

I'm not looking to apply for any math/science course, and I'm rather interested in Poli Sci or International Relations, or other social sciences type major, if that matters.

Thank you all so much! :D

you should try for higher sat scores, imo

ccas aren’t exactly remarkable

and humanities scholarship is no big deal

your SAT scores are fine. they’re not going to stand out and impress anyone but they’re good enough for them not to adversely affect you. and yes, your ECs really need improving. the singapore applicant pool consists of many overqualified teenagers so your ECs will lower your chances. you obviously stand your best shot applying ED but even then, international admissions to dartmouth will always be hard given their need-blind status for intls.
