Chance me please - NCSU

Hi,
I’m currently a senior and awaiting responses from UGA and NCSU, and have already received acceptances from UF, FSU, UCF, and Auburn. UGA is my top choice and NCSU is second or third. I fear I will not be accepted into these two universities (nerves i guess). I did not get into Cornell U.
I plan on majoring in biology or animals science (possibly both) at NCSU and Animal health and bio at UGA.
I live in NY. Price isn’t a concern.

GPA: 93 out of 100 (4.0 out of 4.0 I believe) - unweighted
9 out of around 60 students (unsure on the exact number, keeps varying due to students failing required classes)
SAT: 1810
Math: 600
Reading: 570
ACT: 27
I’m from a small school and have taken the only four AP courses available to us as students (AP Physics, English Comp, English Lit, and APUSH).
I have taken 3 out of 4 of the college credit courses available to us (Spanish IV, Pre calculus, and Economics).
I’m currently a veterinary intern.
Student Council President, SADD treasurer, Class VP, Honor society member, Interact member, people to people ambassador, 80+ hours community service, 4 year varsity soccer and basketball player (current captain).

Thanks

I belive you will definitely get in at NCSU however I am not to sure how UGA’s admissions are

I thought NCSU was much more difficult to get into. My daughter applied for chemical engineering. she got 680 in math and a 600 in reading. her un-weighted GPA is 3.75. she was very involved with multiple varsity sports, community service, working, many academic awards, AP courses and 2 college maths, top 10-20% of her class (can tell because HS doesn’t rank) … and her counselor has prepared her to be denied. That was my daughters top choice but discouraged.

Hi,
I also applied to both NC State and UGA. I live in North Carolina and I just found out I was accepted to NC State today. As for UGA I got accepted as a Biology major in February through regular decision. I figure telling you my stats would be the most helpful. I had a 27 on the ACT as well. 8 AP Courses, a 4.0 unweighted GPA and 4.8929 weighted GPA. My recommendation for UGA was good (my AP Biology teacher wrote it). I also had tons of EC’s. Your EC’s are good and they are also consistent. Colleges like consistency. It seems like you have a good chance of getting accepted. UGA looks at academics more than standardized test scores so the only weak area I see would be your course rigor, but it’s not your fault that the courses offered at your school are limited. Both schools should take that into consideration. You should know in a few days. Good luck!
