If anyone could chance me I'd really appreciate it. And i'd be more than happy to chance back! Thankyou :)

In at OU and Cinci, but OSU is a low reach - it’s a formula school and even with minority status your ACT is pretty far below the 25th percentile.

BTW, I probably live about 15 minutes away from you.

I think you are in state,so it will not be so difficult to get in

OU and CU are my safety schools but I really want to get into Ohio State. I feel like not every person with outstanding scores gets in. I knew two people, one with an 18 and the other with a 21 who both got accepted into the main campus. I just really hope they make an exception for me!!
And really? Where do you live??
And Creamania, I hope being in-state gives me that advantage. Thankyou!!

Oh and @snipersas, does that mean the ACT is the only thing that counts towards admission? I’m hoping everything, including the essay, counts!

It means that GPA, SAT/ACT, residency, and any hooks are all that matter. Get it up to a 25 and you should be good

I agree with the rest of the posters. Your ACT is the only thing pulling you back. I suppose you could make up by writing an amazing essay, but studying for the ACT is probably safer IMO

FutureVpFinance, I retook the one in September so I suspect I pulled it up to a 25-26. So I hope that helps! And Whale, do you think the essay would be good enough to make up for it? My essays dynamite so far but I’m still on edge about everything.

Last year the essay prompt was “why OSU.” A lot of people wrote about being a buckeye, so the admissions officers weren’t too happy about that. Just write with your heart and don’t be too generic.

btw: what is osu’s prompt this year?

The essay this year is, “As you think about the next four years, what are you looking forward to that might surprise your fiends or family members”. I have so many ideas for this essay since I’d be the only one out of my family and relatives to even “get into” a school like Ohio state, let alone get into college (besides my parents). The essay prompt last year was generic itself, I’m ecstatic that they changed it this year! Did you apply last year?

*friends.lol sorry

Bump…UW GPA 3.5, not 3.4. Not like it really makes a difference anyways
