Chance me please (premed)

I am an American Citizen but have lived all my life in Mexico. I am Hispanic and I have studied 11th and 12th grade in Canada so I am considered an international applicant for most universities. Spanish is my first language. I want to go into premed in the US, but since I am not very familiar with the whole system I am not sure of my chances of getting into certain schools. I would appreciate if I could receive some feedback and maybe opinions into which schools should I apply based on my background.
They don't do GPA here in Canada but I have about an 84% average, in this senior year all A's and B;s. This school is very rigorous and academics are very demanding. An A goes from 86% up, B is 73% to 85%, and so on... so its different from most US schools.
My courses this senior year are: AP BIO, AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, AP Macro and Micro Economics, AP Spanish, English, Chemistry, and Math.
I already took my SAT in October and I got 1830.
630 in the CR.
600 in Math.
and 600 in writing.
I retook it on Nov 1st but I don't know the scores from that exam yet.
Extra Curricular Activities: Play soccer, play guitar, and learning German.
The schools I have in mind so far are:

Trinity University (TX)
USC
University of Notre Dame
Northeastern (Boston)
Vanderbilt
Pepperdine
U. of Michigan (Ann Arbor)
Tufts
Boston University
Boston College
Pomona

These are the schools I have looked at so far, can you let me know what you think my chances are? Which ones would you think are safety, match, or reach schools for me? And also If you know about other schools that fit my profile that would be great! If there is more info I can give you let me know...

I'm not too knowledgable in all your schools but I can chance a few.
USC- high-match, your SAT's are just a bit low but since you're international, maybe
Northeastern- match, maybe safety
Boston University- match
Pomona- reach, it's a reach for most people.

Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska is well known for its pre-med program. It'd be considered a match/safety for you, and it's ranked decently high. I'd say it's comparable to BU and Northeastern, but since it's in Omaha, there's not much social life/activity going on. it's pre-med program is still great, so if you're positive you wanna go on that path, definitely check out creighton. I'm sure you'd get some financial aid as well.

I think you have slim/no chance for:
U. of Michigan (Ann Arbor)
Tufts
Vanderbilt
University of Notre Dame
Pomona

You need to raise your test scores if you want to go to any of those places

thanks for the feedback...
giggitusmaximus:
tufts and Pomona i am not really interested in i know they are really hard to get in
Vanderbilt i would like
notre dame i would really like (according to the Princeton review book my sat scores specially the math one is just a bit below the average)
do they expect me to have really high SAT scores even if English is not my first language?

I don't really know much seeing as I'm only a senior in HS, but this is what I've seen on CC: If you are viewed as an international student, then your chances at every school are dramatically lowered. If you are viewed as an American citizen, then your chances are the same as everyone else. You need to take into consideration that there will be a lot of students who are more qualified than you applying to the schools that I mentioned. To consider them matches, then you should probably try to get around 700 in each section. And about the lower scores on SATs for students whose first language isn't English; you need to realize that there will be people whose first language isn't English and still get phenomenal scores on the SAT/ACT.

Take my opinions with a lot of skepticism because like I said, all of the information that I told you I have learned from other people's posts on CC, not on my own experiences.

So people can make more informed chances for you, what are your ECs and unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale?

it sometimes depends though. schools want to say they have diversity from all parts of the world so they will sometimes reserve spots for internationals.

thanks to both i appreciate ur help...
yeah thats what i have heard that specially in private schools sometimes being international can help a bit...
i dont think it is realistic for me to get my SAT scores to 700 since i only have this last december one to try again.
my school dosnt do GPA so i dont know,
But so far this are my grades:
A-Math
A-AP Environmental Science
A-AP Macro and Micro Economics
A-AP Spanish
A-AP Psychology
B-AP Biology
B-Chemistry
B-English

For extra curricular I play on the soccer team, participate in several student lead concerts and play for coffee shops sometimes (guitar/vocals). I am learning German so hopefully ill be fully trilingual soon. I am a boarding prefect at my school and participate in an Outdoor Leadership program, and member of Peer Counseling, Admissions Council, and Food Council.

thanks again for your help...

which would be 2 safety, 2 match, and 2 reach schools for me in your opinion?
