I want a finance major and will also add more leadership roles.

Chance me for:
NYU Stern (ED)
Upenn Wharton
Carengie Mellon Tepper
Umass Isenberg
stanford business
cornell business

Does anyone know anymore east coast business schools that are decent and could act as low matches or safeties?? THANK YOU!!!

NYU Stern - High match/reach
Wharton - Reach
CMU - Match
UMass - Match
Stanford - Reach
Cornell - High match/Reach

ECs are decent. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with including the soccer club - it shows leadership/initiative! I would focus on raising stats - I’m not sure a 2200 is high enough for some reaches like Stanford or Wharton.

As for other east coast business schools, check out Georgetown or UNC.

Chance me back?

thank you!!! i don’t think umass is a match for me though ;/ it was supposed to be a safety! lol

@pompeyfan9797‌ No I agree with you, I actually did mean to write safety. Sorry!

NYU - High match
UPenn - High Reach
CMU - Reach
UMass - Match/Safety
Stanford - High Reach
Cornell - Reach

NYU: high match
CMU: high match
UMass: safety
All others are reaches. to increase chances take SAT subject tests and more AP classes, get some community service hours, and do more writing competitions because you appear to be quite good at writing. Also if you want to get into I banking consider applying to UVA, U Michigan Ann Arbor, and Berkeley because recruiting is quite good and you would have a solid chance. Also just so you know while Stern sends lots of kids off to big firms there are also lots of kids at stern trying to get those positions so it might be smart going somewhere else.

It’s hard to tell without specific stats, as it can be difficult to predict your SAT score based off of practices. I ended up scoring almost 100 points higher than my practices, but I have several friends that scored much lower than their practice tests. It all depends on whether or not you’re a good test taker. By the way, what are you referring to when you say Cornell Business? They don’t have a specific business school for undergrads but there are certain majors within the other schools pertaining to business. Your chances at Cornell depend a lot on what school you’re applying to. Good luck! :)

thank you for your response!! I’m not exactly sure why i put cornell business. do you know of any other business schools with a good finance program? i think i need a decent match, just in case i don’t make my first choices!! thanks again! @anastasia10‌

I know Cornell has its Dyson school within CALS, which only has one major, Applied Economics and Management, which is what I’m applying to but there’s not really as much of a focus on finance there. There’s also IRL and Hotel Management, but again, not finance. If you want more matches and safeties, I think you should check out University of Richmond (Robins School of Business), it’s decently ranked but easier to get into, there is also possibility of merit aid if needed. There’s also UVA, which is of course more of a reach, but it’s worth it to check it out. G-town is also the best school for finance from what I’ve heard, so again, worth checking out. Northeastern is a decent safety and Emory could also be a decent match.

BMUP

The University of Alabama, Emory University, and Georgia Tech all have decent business schools form what I have heard.
