Chance me?

A lot of your competition will have stats like that. It depends on your essay and teacher recommendations. If you can’t chance yourself, what makes you think you can chance other students back?

SAT IIs?

UVA and W&M are only safeties if you’re in Virginia. Are you?

If so, I see most of your list as reaches for anyone. Yes, you have good stats, but so do most people applying to many of the schools on your list. Why those schools? Georgetown and M.I.T. don’t often appear on the same person’s list.

I live near Georgetown and I’ve always wanted to go to MIT. I live in VA and I’ve taken SAT II’s in Biology(800), Chemisty(800), and Physics (780).

MIT–reach
Princeton–high reach
Yale–high reach
Berkely–match
Cornell–match
U of Miami–IN
John’s Hopkins (substantial scholarship)–IN
U of Chigaco–IN
USC–IN
Caltech–reach
Gerogetown–low reach
Pennstate–IN

I think you’re into all your safeties as well, but I think UVA will be a bit harder to get into for you if you’re not a VA resident. It sounds like you are though, so you should be good. Also, like everyone’s been saying, I think your essays will be what sets you apart for some of those Ivies. Make sure they’re good and then I definitely think you’ll get into at least one of them.

Chance me back??

Oh please, I don’t think she is a High Reach anywhere with those scores. While some leadership in terms of ECs would be nice, you are going to be competative everywhere, and, as others have said, your lower-tier schools you are a shoe-in at.

MIT - Low Reach
Princeton - Low/Mid Reach
Yale - Low/Mid Reach
Berkely - Match
Cornell - High Match
U of Miami - In
John’s Hopkins (substantial scholarship) - Low Match/Match
U of Chigaco - Low Match/Match
