<p>It's great to be optimistic, but acceptance at GW with a 2.9 would be extremely unusual and would require some sort of extenuating circumstances. At my town's high school, which is a very competitive high school, in Newsweek's list of top schools, the AVERAGE GPA for those accepted was a 3.8 and the LOWEST GPA for those accepted was a 3.3 (and that included ED). As for SATs, the average was 1997 for regular decision and for early decision it was 1850.</p>
<p>Did the people with the above stats apply to GW?? I feel sorry for those who have a 3.10 GPA, a 1710 SAT score, and hella APs. I guess no college for them... sigh. GW is not near impossible to attend, but I'm not saying it's easy.</p>
