Chance me please (University of Edinburgh)??

What are my chances at the Universtity of Edinburgh (Please Answer)???
I’m applying as a mechanical engineering major.
I’m also an international applicant (from the USA).

For testing…
1310 SAT
680 Math
630 EBRW

I know that they really only take testing into account for admissions, but I’m concerned because they also value AP, and I have not done a single one. I’m going through dual enrollment, so I didn’t have enough space because of how the DE program in my school works.

I also know my scores are a little low. I didn’t study the first time, so I’m thinking I can get them both 700+ for when I take the August SAT.

I plan on taking SAT Math II, but I want to take another one. The one I want to do most is physics, but I haven’t taken a physics course yet, so I don’t know anything about it really.

If I can get my scores to be…
1400+ SAT
700+ Math
700+ EBRW
760+ SAT Math II
760+ SAT Physics (by some miracle)

Do I have a chance?

Any other advice or suggestions are gladly accepted. Thanks!

You need 2 SAT II (math and physics) above 650 in addition to your current sat to satisfy minimum admission requirements.

I know that. So take into account if I did meet that requirement on the tests I take. How do you think my chances are?

You need to be prepared for the course. CalcBC and PhysicsC would be best. What are you taking for DE?

My DE is set up to give me an associates by the time I finish HS, so I have a lot of classes. This year has been all non-STEM things like history and business. Next year though I’m taking DE calc and physics in both semesters. Over the summer, I plan on researching physics and learning it so I’m prepared for the test.

It is not just the test. The course itself is fast paced. I would suggest looking at first year class modules in DRPS. Show them to your college professor(s) to get a feel of how well prepared you are going to be.

Okay, I’ll look int that and let my professors know. Thanks!
