<p>If someone could please please please chance me for upenn i would be so thankfull! I know that my stats are low but if someone could just honestly chance me that would be so great.</p>

<p>I come from a competitive public school in ct (send many kids to top schools)
GPA: 93.15/100 uw 4.556 w
SAT1: m 700 cr710 w 600(i know this is really low)
ACT: composite 29 retaking oct 23rd and can definitely improve
SAT2: waiting for scores math 1 and 2 and lit
AP's: us and language (4s) senior year: calc bc physic b lit taking college spanish
course load pretty hard
class rank: top 10%</p>

<p>hook: grandpa and grandma attended upenn and so did uncle so i am a legacy </p>

<p>ecs:
captain of field hockey team varsity (10,11,12) play for two club teams, swc mvp, academic team, national field hockey festival (main ec)
relay for life 4 years captain of team
volunteer coach for parks and rec fh camp during summer 4 years
paid internship at accounting office 160 hrs.
part time job at grocery store 12hrs a week 2 yeras
business section of yearbook 2 years
math tutor
Swim team 2 years </p>

<p>(i know not very strong compared to other college confidential members)</p>

<p>rec:guidance couselor pretty good, we have a good relationship
math and physic teacher rec should be good </p>

<p>essays: pretty good </p>

<p>i would be applying to cas would absolutely LOVE to go, </p>

<p>also chance me for bc, villanova, nyu, bu, george washington, syracuse bucknell </p>

<p>and your sat 1 scores will hurt you.

<p>I think that you have a great shot early decision! You’re one of those borderline candidates, like me. But the fact that you come from a competitive high school and are top 10% is very impressive. Your SATs are not bad at all, they’re in the middle 50.Your ECs are pretty good, not amazing, I don’t think relay for life counts as an EC but idk.</p>

<p>Apply! You have a decent shot.</p>

<p>It depends on major. For Arts and Sciences you should be in.</p>

<p>Does that mean that an undecided would have more/less chance of getting in than say, an intended history major?</p>

<p>it is going to be a challenge to get into penn. you have shot, but it is not terrifically large</p>

<p>you have a good shot but only because you are a legacy. look at the other schools your are applying to. they are no where near the level of Penn. but because you are a legacy, which for some reason they really like at Penn, you could beat out those with much stronger credentials than yours. you have great EC’s. good luck.</p>

<p>This is Penn, folks, not Harvard. If you apply as a History major you will most certainly get in. Wharton is tough. So is pre-med. Other than that you should be good.</p>
