I’m confused as to how your GPA is a 2.98 but you get As and Bs. That’s the GPA of a C/D student.

That aside, your GPA and scores are quite low and your coursework rigor isn’t the most rigorous. You have some interesting ECs, and first-generation college + African American certainly will help. I’d say you have a shot at the schools you listed, unless I’m missing something about your GPA.

The story background to my GPA not matching my grades is because my freshman year I was recommended for earth science honors so that was put onto my schedule… Long story short I shouldn’t have been recommended because I ended each marking period with either a C+ C- and a C then for the final test I bombed it (our school took away the D grade) so my final grade was a C- so that was what effected my GPA as a whole so after freshman year is when my grades started picking up with all A’s and B’s

Physical therapy programs are difficult to get into and to complete.

Those electives you’ve chosen may be fun, but you need to load up on math and science instead. Take the anatomy and physiology. Take calculus. If physics is available, take that, too. Take any more biology and chemistry your school offers.

Check the admission requirements and course requirements for any school you’d like to consider. Are you on a path to take those?

I hesitated about physical therapy because of how hard it is to get into the program and how hard it takes to complete it, I was more for occupational therapy but of course my parents didn’t think highly of OT… But yeah I’m totally looking at those academic choices now because I had made my senior year schedule my mid junior year and that’s when I wanted to go into communications that’s why I wanted a laid back senior schedule it was just up until mid summer where I began to look into OT & PT
