Problems: Am an international applicant, worried about my high school curriculum - band, although I love it, took up a lot of my schedule space and I couldn't take a fourth science or social studies...

P.S. I'm also applying to Stanford, Tufts, and UPenn.

To be honest I wouldn’t be too confident. Applying as an international student really hurts, especially because it gets ride of your URM status. Also, you haven’t taken that many APs and your class rank could be better. Your ECs are fine, but nothing really stands out. After saying that, I am not really qualified to tell you anything. Good luck!

Looks pretty standard for a admit to one of those schools… However, they could fill their classes 3-4 times probably. In the right area, just see what happens.

Your resume looks very similar to the other competitive candidates to Yale, albeit slightly lower SAT and SAT II scores.

Quick Question: How are you a National AP Scholar with only 3 AP tests? To my knowledge, you require at least 8 AP tests with an average of 4 to qualify for this.

Granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.

I’m not sure how you managed to receive this award then.

Whew! Ok so i just got really scared because judgment day is right… I guess i got it confused with the national hispanic recognition program scholar but I’m just an ap scholar. I just had a mild heart attack thinking I wrongly put national ap scholar on my application but thankfully I just put ap scholar. thank you judgment day!!! Anyways, back to chances?

Unless your essays are absolutely superb, you have no chance whatsoever. Assistant percussion captain? Do you realize how many former drum majors apply to Yale?
