Chance me please.:)

<p>Currently a grade 11, and as my time runs out, I want to know what I could possibly do to stand out. It's definitely been s long journey. If I get accepted or rejected from Yale, I'll be so happy. I've accomplished so much in the last few years.:)</p>

<p>Chess Club: 9, 10, 11, won various school tournaments and qualified for provincial and national tournaments. There isnt any positions for this club in my school.
Eco Club: 9, 10, 11, our school won the most green school award in my 9th grade year. (City wide competition. Our school won it because of the contributions of the green club)
Yearbook Committee: 9, 10, 11: Created the yearbook along side just two others for all those years
Key Club: Wasn't available in my school until my 10th grade year: 10, 11
Volleyball Team: 10, 11: City champions in my 10th grade year
Swimming Team: 10, 11: In my 10th grade year, I participated in the city wide tournament, and in my 11th grade year, went to OFSSA (Ontario wide tournament) and got bronze as a team.
Soccer Team: 9, 10, 11: We were city champions for two years. I was the captain in grade 10.

<p>You will have a great application, unfortunately the competition is brutally difficult. You will have a good chance of admission definitely better than the posted acceptance rate of around 7% (I am thinking this year’s rate will be somewhere close to 6-7%) I personally would never say any non legacy or non URM has better than a 50% chance so you fit somewhere in between in my mind. Yale admissions, along with all other HYPS admissions, are incredibly difficult to predict.</p>

<p>No one can ever really say (and I usually don’t comment on these chance threads), but I just wanted to say kudos to you for those accomplishments with a sub 20,000 income. Congrats whether you get into Yale or not.</p>

<p>You may want to ask your advisors for a few of your activities if it’s okay for you to right “Captain or President” under your applications if you’ve had a large impact or done a lot of work for that club. Competition for Yale is extremely competitive, so you need to make yourself stand out as much as possible.</p>

<p>Very impressive application overall. You’ll make some great schools.</p>
