Hi, I am a grade 10 boy who's going into grade 11 next semester. I am a Canadian, and as I look back at my school grades in grade 10... well it's not that good to get into the Ivy's. Right now, I am getting 89.7% for my gr.10 average (I do not know how to convert it into gpa) and I still have to do the SAT. I was in the school's varsity basketball team (although I am quitting next year, due to too much stress from school) and I also throw discus in track and field. I have over 200 hours of community service hours and I also went to kenya this spring with an organization called "Free the Children" to help people who are in needs. Furthermore, I am pretty passionate about arts, so I am currently creating portfolios for the universities. How can I improve my chance of getting into this university?
Thnx.

I’d say according to your grade average, you’re right on top of where you have to be. 89.7% basically translates to a 3.8-3.9 here. Just keep on doing what you’re doing, you have 2 more years to go.

Also, you shouldn’t post this in the 2013 class forums. 2013 year is the year when people will be graduating from Berkeley as opposed to when they’ll be entering. Any other questions you may have, try posting it in the regular Berkeley forum and you’ll get an answer much sooner.
