I know that I lack the statistics/EC's to get into these schools, but there is an upward trend in my GPA. It started low due to family issues, but it is stated in my personal statement so perhaps improvement will show something?

I plan on getting straight A's the first semester of Senior year, perhaps one B or so.
I am taking, AP Chemistry, AP Literature, AP Statistics, AP Gov/Econ, Geology.

What are my chances to these colleges?
University of Chicago, UC Berkeley, USC, UCLA, Boston University, CMC, Harvery Mudd, UCSD, UCI, UCSB

I've also been thinking about early deciding to either CMC or Harvery Mudd. What do you guys think? THanks

bummppppity bump bumpp
feedback por favor!

Hey, minijuey lol
I think at this point, it doesnt really matter what others say your chances are to these schools. Instead, just do your BEST to put together best applications possible and keep your grades up.

Like you said, your gpa has an upward trend, your EC is decent, and your essays are good (from what I remember)(work on them more though; essays are REALLY important, as you probably know by now). Just have confidence in yourself and you’ll do fine!

I havent really had a chance to tell you this, but you are one of the nicest kids I have ever met at La Canada. Regardless of where you get in, you will succeed in life. I know that for sure =).

Have a great Thanksgiving break~ (I never thought I would say this on a CC forum lol)

Your friend AP

Wow thank you for the truly heartwarming words. It’s really nice to hear that when the application deadlines are coming to an end and the stress is rising. Those words will get me through the next couple of weeks as I struggle to finish these. Thank you so much!

Do you have a safety?

Of the UCs, I think you can get into UCI and UCSB, but it’s not guaranteed. All of the others are significant reaches.
