Intern at an Environmental NGO (Summer 2010, 2011) + volunteered there since 7th grade

<p>Essays:
Peer Rec: I thought it was awesome... but I think I may be biased.
Teacher Recs: Waived my rights, but one was from my volleyball coach/my classroom teacher, and one was from my history teacher and I think he wrote me a pretty darn good one.
Counselor Rec: He told me it was great, so... he really emphasized my community involvement</p>
<p>Awards & Honors:
2 Regional Awards for my volunteer stuff, 1 Award from an Int'l Organization
National AP Scholar
An appreciation thingy from the current principal of the elementary school I graduated from for my summer volunteer stuff
An in-school scholarship for academic record and outstanding citizenship... $1000 summer stipend</p>
<p>Hooks: Test scores, studied on three different continents, extracurriculars(?)
Disadvantages: Overrepresented minority... Sigh. Possibly GPA? I know Dartmouth does not do regional reading, so if the reader is not familiar with my school... We do curves in some classes and classes are really competitive. </p>
