Chance me, please? :)

Extracurriculars: Orchestra (violin), FRC Robotics (programmer/robot driver/Dean’s List semifinalist; it was our rookie year, & we placed third in the qualification matches and took home awards for Highest Rookie Seed and Industrial Design), volunteering, part time job

plans for this summer: part time job, volunteering at a disease research clinic & animal shelter, visiting BU
plans for next year: PSEO (calc 3, psychology, genetics, women’s studies), Concert Orchestra, French 2, Principals of Engineering, Robotics, Ethics, community service club, internship at local hospital

My GPA isn’t great, but there’s an upwards trend since freshman year. I do well on all my exams, which shows I know the material, but I have some problems turning things in. -_- I’m a first generation college student, if that affects things at all. I also have close relationships with several of my teachers, so I think my recommendation essays will be good.

So, how do my chances look? Right now BU is my number one, so I’d love to get in. How much do they look at GPA? Is there anything I should do this summer or senior year to help? Please and thank you. :)

Try taking both the SAT and ACT and study for both this summer. It helps to take as many practice tests as possible. With a somewhat low GPA you will need a high test score to be considered.

Hi! I applied to BU as a transfer back in Feb. and my application status recently (yesterday afternoon) went from “application is complete” to “review of your application for admission is complete” Has anyone else gotten the samet thing on their portal? if so, how long did it take to hear an answer? I’m pretty anxious and nervous!! I applied to the Speech, Language and Hearing Science Program of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College. Please, if anyone can give me any information they have/know about, i’d appreciate it greatly!! Also, if anyone can help me and give me a brief opinion on my chances of getting in, thanks!
