Chances of getting into Boston University?

Hello everyone =] I'm only a sophomore, but I've been set on BU for over a year now. That being said, since I am only a sophomore so I haven't taken the SATs of ACT yet. However, here is my current info just to see if I'm on track.

*I plan on applying early decision to BU's college of health and rehabilitation sciences under a human physiology major and a minor in italian.

-My GPA is 3.7-3.8 ish
-I'm number 20 or 30ish out of about 350 in my class
-I take all honors classes and I'm one year accelerated in math
-The only honors class I haven't taken is concert band freshman year because you can't take honors band until at least sophomore year, but this year I am playing my oboe in the wind ensemble which is honors
-Every year since eighth grade I've been a medalist in the district and national spanish contest
-I am on my school's swim team as well as an outside club team
-I work as a lifeguard
-Since I am applying to the health science school i feel the fact that I am certified in CPR,first aid, and oxygen administration is relevant
-I am in the medical scholar's club
-I compete on the biology olympiad team
-I am involved with a local science symposium
-I'm about to start volunteering at a local hospital
-I am in color guard as well as marching band
-this year our band and color guard were the PA state champions
-I take private oboe lessons as well as play in a small chamber ensemvle, I plan to continue to play in college

So what do you suppose are my chances of BU so far? I know it's hard to tell without SATs but thanks! and I'm glad to chance anyone else, too!

Also, I forgot to mention that I am in
my school’s academically gifted program for having a GIEP(high IQ) and I’m currently completing an independent research study on stem cell medical therapies

o yea, just one more small thing, I also teach group and private swimming lessons

You seem like you’re on track for getting into BU as long as you keep your GPA up and do well on the SATs. Good luck with your next few years of school.

Keep your GPA up and start doing some SAT prep, and I’m sure you’ll have a great shot! =)

You are doing great so far.

Perhaps you can do even better than BU, although BU is indeed a great place to go to school (I used to live in the Back Bay area of Boston).

But without SAT or ACT scores, it is premature.

I would do serious prep work for the SAT, by taking some sort of organized course. While it is true you can simply do practice exams on your own, in my view, it is better to take an organized course, because that FORCES you to do the prep work.

Seems a bit early to judge but u ate definitely on the right track
Your GPA is good with very strong ECs.
Quite diverse

Maybe a bit more leadership ECs?

Otherthan that, score high on SAT and you’re set.
Good luck next year.

Hard to say anything if you are a Soph but just get the highest grades possible and highest test scores possible and you won’t have an issue getting in ;)
