Chance Please:

Emory early decision- reach, cousins/uncle/aunt members went there
Penn State
Purdue
Northeastern

Where else should i apply

Emory: Match
PSU: Low match
Purdue: Low match
NEU: High match

Really? Throughout this whole process I have seen Emory as a reach for me. Any other opinions? Also, I saw northeastern early action as a tough one…

Any other opinions?

forgot to mention that my recommendations are great.

are these matches true considering my lower than what i would’ve liked SAT scores?

PSU and Purdue are match schools for you with a good chance at acceptance.
Northeastern and Emory are stretch schools with a lower chance at acceptance. I would agree ED would be a good idea if you really like emory.

Yes better SAT scores would help but realize that Emory and NE are in a different selectivity class (30%ish) so you really cant be in the low end of the norm without ED or some sort of hook.

How can he be a match at Emory but a low match at Penn State and Purdue? I would say:

Emory: Reach
PSU: Match
Purdue: Match
Northeastern: High Match

@justblewit and others
What does high match mean?? Also, Where else should I apply?? I want a few more schools

Emory has turned into a reach now that you mentioned it.

But a high match is a school that is a near-reach.

A high match is not quite a match but not a reach.

Are there any other schools that you would consider High Reaches other than Northeastern or emory (reach). Since I already got into a great program at Pitt, I would probably only go to a school that is of higher reputation or quality.

With your GPA and SAT score I think you could possibly be a match to high match at a few out-of-state public schools. Have you considered UVA, UMich, UNC, or Berkeley? Write a damn good Common App essay and get some good recommendations. That Buisness internship should help you out too.

Good luck!

bump… need more opinions …thanks

CollegeBound your post is a bit vague. What kind of school are you looking for ? What state ? How big a campus ?

You have good credentials that can get you into hundereds of schools. You should choose someplace you fell you can thrive.

@mitchklong and everyone else

PA resident. Since I am in Pitt’s business school, and have some more big universities/business schools on my list, I was hoping I could have some mid size (NOT Liberal Arts) schools that you think I would get a great business education from. Again, I feel my supplements (essay, rec’s, etc.) will really help me out, so dont go solely on GPA/SAT.

Thanks

Emory-Reach
Penn State-match
Purdue- match
Northeastern- high match
