I'll be taking the English Literature, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, 2D Design (Photography), Calculus AB and Environmental Science AP tests this May.</p>
<p>As for extracurriculars, I was a varsity swimmer my freshman year and I lettered and placed at county finals, but then quit to pursue other activities. </p>
<p>I've been president of our Gay Transgender Straight Alliance since my sophomore year and I work with administrators to make significant policy changes at our school. The was recently recognized by our Congresswoman for our achievements, and we applied for a successful $3500 grant for our high school foundation this year. </p>
<p>In addition, I work on activism quite a bit outside of school. I served as Co-Chair of the Marin Youth Pride Coalition in the summer of 2011 and helped to run the first youth-built float in the San Francisco Pride Parade. I've also worked closely with the local Youth Leadership Institute on several activism related photojournalism projects, which I work in in tandem with my AP Photography Portfolio. </p>
<p>I'm secretary of a community service club at my school.</p>
<p>I interned for my State Senator this summer and worked on research and constituent correspondence.</p>
<p>I work at Peet's Coffee full time during summer and breaks for school, and 15 hours a week during the school year.</p>
