Chance me please!

Hey guys, I'm an out of state UNC EA applicant, and I was just wondering what my chances are. Thanks!

Essays:
My common app essay was not bad, I wrote about how i taught myself how to cook and how that has shaped me as a person

Recommendations:
My 2 teacher recommendations were probably pretty good, they were both from teachers who really liked me and knew me as a person.
My guidance counselor also knew me pretty well, so I assume her recommendation was also pretty decent

Also, I am a legacy through my dad and he has donated a significant amount of money to the school.

Out of state admissions are tough, but with this resume, you have a really good shot of getting in.

Thanks! I hope so, that would be sweet

You are in! Don’t stress. The most important thing is your GPA and being top 10% for some reason. I knew a guy who had a 2000+ SAT and this guy was a genius. however, he wasn’t top 10% GPA wise and got denied.

oh wow thanks! I hope youre right, i would love to go to chapel hill haha

bump please! thanks

If UNC wasn’t so competitive OOS I would say there is no way you wouldn’t get in. Therefore I would say there’s probably an 80 percent chance you will get in only because I’ve seen so many other applicants who want to be chanced with similar stats! Best of luck and please chance me if you have the time!

Hey! I go to UNC, so I may be able to help. Being OOS, you have a much smaller chance of getting in, as UNC only accepts 18% OOS. However, your test scores are fantastic and your ECs are pretty good. Your GPA is pretty good as well. I’d say you have a fair shot at getting in. The fact that you have legacy ties and your father donated money makes your chances pretty good. Best of luck!

Thanks guys! And yeah Austin I’ll definitely chance you!
