Hi I am currently a junior and I'm dying to know if I can get into Penn State Schreyer or not... This is the first year that I'm actually trying in school and I regret bs-ing my freshman and sophomore years so much. My GPA is not that great, but I was wondering if it is still possible for me to make it.

GPA (not including this year):
- 4.4060 weighted... not sure what it is out of
- 3.4 unweighted (not including this year)

I am taking my SATs in a week, all the practice tests I've taken usually say that I'm breaking 2000 by a bit. 2030... 2040... 2050... (However, I know that PennState Schreyers does not look at SATs)

This year I have gotten all A's the first semester and I'm expecting 2 B's at the end of this semester. One in APUSH and one in AP English.

I plan on taking AP Stat, AP Econ (macro), AP Psych, and Honors Calc next year.

So far I have taken AP Euro and ended up with an A on the AP Exam (like I said, I never cared much for school until this year).

I want to go to school for a double major in Finance/IT. My sister also went to PennState for a double major in this. She ended up doing really well. She started out at a satellite school because of her (terrible) high school grades, however, she never applied to Schreyer.

A little more about myself:
1. I've been on the varsity tennis team at my school for the past 4 years
2. I've won several trophies and tournaments for tennis
3. I participate in Tae Kwon Do and Tai Chi.
4. I co-founded a cultural club and am currently the president of it
5. I've had 2 jobs: 1 as a waitress in 8th grade and 1 last summer as a sales telemarketer in a sales trading/sourcing company.
6. I'm part of my school's community service club
7. I'm part of my school's Business Leaders of America Club and I've reached state competitions twice, once in business math and once in accounting II.
8. I am going to PFEW this summer for an organization/camp that teaches students about real-life businesses.
9. I've participated in several community service projects for organizations such as the American Trauma Society, Relay for Life, and neighborhood places too.
10. I'm bilingual.

I also live in PA, so does that make my chances any higher?

I know that I should explain in my essays why I have not performed so well in my lower class years but can you give me an honest opinion on whether you think I will be admitted or not? I would do ANYTHING to get in, ANYTHING!!!

I'm very good at writing convincing essays, my teachers who are writing my rec letters adore me, my sister's boyfriend was from Schreyer so he can help edit my essays.
