<p>About 25-30 kids from my high school get into UNC Chapel Hill each year</p>

<p>Try a satellite UNC campus for a safety and then transfer into UNC-CH if so you desire. I think UNC-CH looks favorably upon in-state transfers that have 3.5+ in college if you go the UNC-to-UNC route.</p>

<p>80 volunteer hours also. Can I ask why you think unc ch is a reach? 70% have an act score range from 24-27, not to mention kids with less than what I have get in at my high school.</p>

<p>Assuming your APs are 3-5s, NCSU is a definite match. You may want to work on your ACT a bit.</p>

<p>Davidson/Wake/UNC: Reach, but with a higher ACT easily be low-reach/high match</p>

<p>Yes, that’s true, keezyp, but so many kids in that ACT score range are rejected.</p>

<p>I’d say:
Davidson: mid reach
Wake Forest: low reach
UNC Chapel Hill: mid reach
NC State: high match</p>

<p>What can I do to strengthen my chances at wake? They are test optional so I am not submitting as of now.</p>

<p>I’d say just use first semester senior year grades to boost your GPA.</p>
