Chance me please!

Hey guys! I'm a rising senior for this school year and i'm starting to finalize my list of colleges that i'll be applying to in the fall but i want to know what you think my chances are for getting into George Washington. I have a cumulative gpa of 4.12 , my sat score is pretty bad. I've only taken it once and i got a 1590 (I KNOW THATS HORRIBLE I SUCK AT STANDARDIZED TESTS PLEASE DON'T SCOLD ME) but i'm going to take the ACT and the SAT before apps are due and i'm praying for a better score and that I'll find the ACT better. i don't do any sports (Yikes again) but I'm treasurer for the national honor society, the only student board member on my county's education council,a member of my state youth advisory council, and i'm a member of other clubs.A lot of times i work with senators and politicians in my clubs. I write for a local newspaper, i've attended two competitive political/leadership programs, and I think i can get a good recommendation letter since i've had this teacher in 10th grade and will be his student again this year.I interned at a hospital last summer. I'll also be interning this school year with my state's senator.I've taken ap lang, ap world, ap calc ab, ap gov, and ap bio. I'll be taking ap lit, ap psych, ap comp gov, and ap calc bc this year. For awards, i won 1st place and a scholarship prize in a very competitive essay competition against students across the country and some international students. I'm leaning toward a political or business major, and i hope to go on to law school. What are my chances for GW? I really like their political communication program and does it help that my grandmother worked at gw for over 30 years? I'm african american by the way. I live close to gw, and I know its probably a really high reach but this is like my top choice so what do you think? (Kind of freaking out because I really want to go here but i think my chance is very low for many colleges)

If you were to get your SAT up (no, I’m not scolding you :p), I think you would have a really good shot.

Chance back?
