<p>Hi,</p>

<p>So I just got wait listed at Pepperdine. I am freaking out about getting into my top colleges (I have not heard from them yet). Could you please let me know what my chances are, feeling really stressed right now.</p>

<p>Colleges I have gotten into: Azusa pacific, csu Fullerton, university of oregon, old dominion, quinnipiac university, umass Amherst </p>

<p>Rejected at: UT at Austin (due to issue with application)</p>

<p>Wait listed: pepperdine</p>

<p>Waiting to hear back from: gettysburg, Syracuse, University of maryland college park, and William and Mary</p>

<p>Major: history or american studies</p>

<p>GPA- 3.75 unweighted 4.03 weighted</p>

<p>Sat - 1770
Act - 28</p>

<p>By the time I graduate I will have taken 5 ap's and 2 honors classes

<p>Ap scholar award, distinguished community service award (have over 150+ hours)</p>

<p>-President of high school board that helps poor families receive gifts during the holidays (4 years participating)

- work at a local girls retail shop (this school year)

- Member of the board for a national campaign called every 15 minutes </p>

<p>I live in CA and I really want to get into those 4 schools I haven't heard from. I know my testing isn't super high but I think my activities are good. I also had an interview with the admissions director at gettysburg that went really well back in October.</p>

<p>Thanks for your time! I'm pretty sad about being wait listed to Pepperdine and stressed to hear from these other school. I appreciate your honest opinion.</p>

<p>Is there a reason why you disliked UCs? Or the UCs you could have gotten into were weak in history?</p>

<p>Well, I really want to study American History, so being able to be on the east coast and close to museums and internships is a big plus. I do like the UC system but because it is so impacted right now it wasn’t the best match for me. UCLA and Cal have great programs but I wouldn’t of gotten in. Along with the impacted system I did not want to be going to school for more than four years so the UC and CSU system just really weren’t the right schools for me. I really like the schools and system but because of those reasons I didn’t apply. </p>

<p>Thank you for your help! Sorry I am new to this site, but High match would just be in between match and reach correct? Meaning there is a chance but not as great as a match school. I really appreciate your time and help! (:</p>
