Chance me (please)?

Hey sorry for this being my first post but I figured I would get people’s opinions on something that’s been on my mind for a while now. I understand applying to any Ivy is a crapshoot but I figured I would leave it up to you all to either ease (or heighten) my worries.

I will be applying Early Decision as well.
Thank you all!

Your ACT is within the middle 50 percentile although your unweighted gpa is slightly low. I think you have enough of a chance that if you write stellar essays you could get in. Good luck! I will also be applying early decision. Hope to see you at Brown in the Fall!

I’m sorry but Brown is a very high reach for you unless you can get your scores up a lot. Your GPA and test scores are simply too low for brown. Maybe if you can bump your ACT to a 34 you’ll have a better shot. Your EC’s aren’t very impressive either tbh…

I do agree that the OP has a relatively low GPA for brown and raising his or her ACT would help but a 31 on the ACT is actually a score that gives you a realistic shot at brown as their middle 50 percentile is 29-34. I do agree that the OP would need a higher ACT or stellar essays to make up for his or her lower gpa. I think it would still be worth a shot for the OP to apply though.
