Hello! I’m struggling to come up with a balanced list of schools that consist of matches and safeties because I am mostly interested in schools that I would consider out of reach. My GPA is 3.83 and I am ranked 23/191 in my graduating class. My SAT and ACT scores are horrendously average as I am not a strong test taker. Therefore I also need to consider test optional schools in case I am unable to raise my scores. I definitely would like to be in the northeastpreferably in New York or Mass, and I would prefer a rural or scenic campus, but also somewhat close to the city. My prospective major is cognitive/ neural science. Also, I play the French horn so I would also like to consider schools with extra curricular orchestra or band programs. I am really interested in Colgate University, although I know that would be quite a stretch. I would consider Fordham a match. Any further suggestions? Thanks in advance!
