Chance me Please!!!

Hello!

I’m an international applicant, applying both to UK and USA.

For my O Levels i received 7As, 1A and 2B’s including As in Literature, Language and History.
I haven’t gotten my As results yet but my predicted grades were 5A’s (fingers crossed!) including A’s in History and Literature

I wanted to apply to Oxbridge for a degree in Literature. Can i know my chances of getting in because a lot of people have told me my O level grades are not sufficient for an admission at Cambridge.

For USA

My SAT score is 2180 (750 Math 710 Reading and 720 Writing) and i’ve been a straight A student (so i guess 3.0 above GPA?) plus in the Top 10th percentile of my school for four years.
I’m the Deputy Head of my Debate department (won several competitions) play (and have won many of) two interschool sports & am the head of/initiated a Social/Community Service project.
I’ve done a few activities regarding creative writing, including the IWP for teenagers sponsored by UNESCO, was the Senior Editor of my school magazine and won annual Poetry Elocutions and Writing Competitions (but they were only inhouse school based)
i plan to give SAT Literature and Sat Math II this October.

My two main universities are Brown University and UC Berkeley.

Can i know my chances?

Thanks!!!

What country are you from?

Pakistan!

USA: Can you pay for UCB? Brown will meet need, but there are no scholarships for international students at UCB

UK: Cambridge is specific that you should be in the top 1-2% of your year group and you are not predicted an A, which is part of the standard offer, so unless you really excelled at the ELAT I wouldn’t fancy your chances. Oxford would be less bothered not having the A prediction, and they are less bothered by O level results, so if you really excelled at the ELAT you could be in with a chance (in both cases, the interview would be the key, and there’s no way for anybody to comment on that).

As does not have predicted grades beyond an A. The A level final year has predicted As which i hope to get! I already got my AS level grades which were AAA and hope for triple A in A2.
And i am in the top 1-2% of my school.

Sorry- I misread that you were talking about As level (read it as A plural…). Then just be aware that Cambridge cares about UMS and Oxford does not.
