Trinity is very easy to get into, you should be fine.
You can never know though, especially if I’m applying as an nternational applicant and trying to get their fin aid
I wouldn’t consider Trinity “easy to get” into especially for international students. However, I think that Trinity is a great option for international students due to its international student diversity compared to other LACs (more than 10 percent of the student body is international and students come from more than 70 countries) and its amazing financial aid for international students (full demonstrated need).
A 1450 out of 2400 SAT is low for Trinity - however, you have really strong and interesting extracurricular activities. I would suggest that you retake your SAT, but if you cannot or score less than a 2000, I would suggest not submitting it.
I said my NEW sat is 1450 (which is out of 1600). This year collegeboard redesigned it by combining writing and reading parts together. So, i have 750 on math section and 700 on writing and reading. It’s around 2080 on the old sat (which was out of 2400). So, anyways. Even if my sat was low, do you think not submitting would pull me down?
Sorry, I didn’t see the NEW SAT part. It’s been a while since I took the SAT…LOL. I think that you do have a good SAT…It’s relatively still above average at Trinity. However, keep in mind that the international student pool is very competitive at Trinity.
I suggest two things: 1) Definitely submit the Trinity supplementary essay. It shows that you actually interested in Trinity 2) Consider EDI or EDII. I think that you would have a better chance if you did ED as supposed to RD, but of course, if you get accepted, you must attend Trinity. Since Trinity is 100 demonstrated need for international students, you should get a financial aid package that is affordable to you, but you never really know.
Thank you so much for suggestions. I’ll definetly consider them. Do you think if I don’t submit my sat score it’ll lower my chances. Because collegeboard charges almost 20$ for that, so maybe if it’s not required then I’m fine? -_-
Trin already made SAT optional, so if you are worried about the fee, you don’t really have to submit it. However, since your SAT score is pretty good, I suggest that you should write an email to the financial office, explain your difficulties and ask if they can give u a fee waiver before deciding whether to drop it or not. There’s also another way I think they may accept if you ask, it is to email them a scanned score report (just type it yourself on Word) with your counselor’s signature. Good luck!
