thank you, chances for PLME, HPME, BU, U of R, etc.

No, because your other scores are good. If possible though, try and take it again. Most colleges look at your superscore so you will be fine as long as you do better in cr.

Pretty good chances. Work to improve that CR score.

Also, don't limit yourself to ba/md programs, apply to regular undergrad schools as well. If you can do this well in high school, there is no reason why you wouldn't get into med school later on.

As for ba/md programs, consider others as well such as Rice-Baylor, USC, etc.

you could improve your SAT score, but you dont really have to. you're in that range where it doesnt really matter what your score is anymore (somewhere like 2250+).

if you can improve, then definitely take it again. youre already a competitive applicant at the programs you mentioned.

cricketman1991: How did you get the opportunity to shadow a cardiologist? Was he/she a relative, friend, etc.? Or just someone you found through asking around hospitals and such?

Your stats are great. I would suggest to apply to wider range of programs, since acceptance to the ones that you mentioned is just a matter of chance. Keep in mind that almost everybody who apply to these programs have stats similar to yours. So, I would add less known combined programs at state schools to your list. My D. had stats similar to yours (including coincidently being top and Baush & Lomb medal) + she had over 300 hours of working in Med. Research Lab as lab. assistant and varsity coaches interested in her. She did not get into better known programs, but she got into few at the state schools, so she still had her choices.
