which college?

carnegie mellon

for computer engineering or computer science

Bit of a reach for SCS with current GPA and SATs. Raising SATs will help a lot, especially 800s in math.

will they supercede my score?
that was my second time taking it and the first time i had a 780 in math
will that help?

I'm pretty sure they superscore. 780 is just one wrong - so you should be fine there.

I think you are a reasonable match if your GPA puts you in the top 5% of your class. However the acceptance rate for SCS makes it one of the hardest schools at CMU to get into: Admission Statistics

our school does not actually weight gpa's
my unweighted gpa rank is in the 50th percentile
very sad :[

also, I will be applying for computer engineering as my first choice which is CIT not SCS

ECE is harder to get into than regular CIT, though not as hard as SCS. Still a reach imo, but not undoable.

Ok Thanks

and also, which gpa does carnegie mellon use?
is it 9-11?
or 9-12(first semester)?
or 10-11?
or 10-12(first semester)?

and for college community classes, those are weighted right? and do those classes count as 2 semesters or just 1 semester?

Thanks

basically my gpa is
9-12 3.67/3.70 UW 4.17/4.20 W
10-11 3.57 UW 4.14 W
10-12 3.64/3.67 UW 4.28/4.31 W
depending on what grade i get in my gov class
will that help somewhat?
