i am extremely interested in the sciences-- i want to become a doctor, but the weakness of my high school profile is that I didn't volunteer at a hospital because there was never any room. i've only volunteered at a hospital once, even though i liked the experience, it's not a continuous activity.
i am currently applying to cornell's CAS under biology major. would this lack of experience hurt me a lot? because i've taken AP Bio, IB Bio, got a 5 on the AP test, but not really a practical experience of it.
my SAT score was 2250
SAT II Bio was 750
Math IIC 800
5 on AP Bio and AP Calc
I've also taken Micro and Macro Econ-- 4 on both AP's, 6 on IB Economics and 6 on IB US History
My cumulative GPA (unweighted) is a 4.0
my extracurriculars are mainly music-related though, and I do plan to minor in music if I get into Cornell
is there any advice that can help me make my application more appealing? 'cuz I've been surfing through the other threads and I know that CAS is one of the toughest one to get into.
how good a chance do i have?
