Hey, I'm also applying to UCLA, and UCB (my first UC choice..both my parents went there for BAs, met at grad school there, both taught there..damn I wish it was private so I could be a legacy! lol)

You. look. Awesome! Seriously..who knows nowadays but I'm rooting for you!

UCLA - if your essays are good, i think you're golden.

UCB - good chance. UCB's crazy competitive these days though. sigh.

UC Irvine - (ew, why would you want to go there?)

UCSD - definitely a good chance.

Santa Clara - I think so. :)

Columbia - its a toss up. Admission is more competitive than ever before..only 8.7% or something (I'm applying just for the hell of it.)

Good luck! :)

For the others..

U of Chicago..lol, how weird was your essay? If it wasn't, you probs won't make it haha.

Stanford etc - it looks promising, but as always with the super competitive ones, toss up.

:)

Thanks cordeliah! Yeah I wasnt sure about the super competitive ones but I was like I only have one shot to do this, who knows, maybe i'll get lucky =) and most of my HS friends are applyin to UCI so I was like why not haha it'll be another safety school.

Eliminator91, I think you have an excellent chance at every school listed, except perhaps yale and stanford. But those are guaranteed to no one.

I'm not sure what you mean by Santa Clara. maybe Santa Barbara?

Cordeliah, your naivety is really astonishing.

As a UCI student, I take particular offense to that. Would you please tell me what's wrong with my school, which consistently ranks in the top 50 schools in the country?
I'm not sure if you'll be accepted to Berkeley or LA, but I hope you are not. I'm sure they have no shortage of arrogant individuals like yourself.
