Chance me please!

Alright I'm new to this whole forum so I just found this section and I'd like to see what you guys think my chances would be to get into my two favorite schools for Mechanical Engineering -- University of Michigan and UC - Berkeley:

My Stats:
High School GPA: 3.68
SAT: 1261 (I Think... it's been many years)
ACT: Never took one

College Credits: 104 Credit Hours
College GPA: 3.87

Extra Curricular:
Currently serving active duty military contract - will end with honorable discharge in less than 2 years.
Currently taking courses at a local college & online to finish up my prerequisites

Member of Phi Theta Kappa the entire time I was enrolled at a community college to attain my Associate's degree; I was also on the Dean's list every semester -- had a 4.0 going there. Also, worked "almost" full-time for my father-in-law doing commercial roofing.

Attended Eastern Michigan University for a semester (only to find out their program wasn't accredited through ABET, which ultimately led for my decision to join the military and regroup my plans) -- achieved a 3.93 GPA there. Also worked part time (20 or so hours a week) doing retail.

High School EC's:
Not really strong in this department, nor do I think it should matter to much.

So overall, I think that I have a decent shot, but I am in a really bad situation where I'm trying to get the prerequisites that Michigan wants, and ultimately having a hard time finding accredited online schools that have courses that will transfer. All of this has given me a paranoid feeling that I'm wasting all my own time and money to just "chance" it at getting in to these schools. I've even considered taking the ACT and maybe the SAT over again just because I know I'd do stellar on them now and not sure if that will pad my resume any.

If anyone could, just chance me based on what I've got -- and I'd give you much props if you could go as far as telling me what I can improve on to try to guarantee that revered acceptance letter.

Thanks so much guys!
