<p>I realize that NYU is a longshot for me but I'd be grateful if you guys could chance me anyways :)If there is any hope however, I'd be applying CAS and probably ED just to maximize my chances
I'm OOS but would not need financial aid</p>

<p>Academic GPA: 2.95(uw)/3.28(w)
Total GPA: 3.18(uw)/3.46(w) </p>

<p>I've taken the highest classes (APs and Honors) avaliable. I realize my GPA is pathetically low and probably screw my chances altogether but that's why I'm asking here first to see if it's even worth it :P</p>

<p>AP scores: Euro-3, Us-3, Lang-4
enrolled in AP Lit for senior year, and considering AP Spanish as well if that can help boost my gpa at all (though it's probably too late for that by now)</p>

<p>SAT I: 1410/2140 670CR/740M/730W
SAT II: taking Math II, Lit, US history in October
ACT: haven't taken it yet but may because my SAT score seems alot lower without the writing included
PSAT: 209 (NM commended)</p>

<p>regarding essays, I think my work in India will provide some solid papers so i'm not scared of a bad essay i suppose</p>

<p>Your GPA is very low, so I am sorry to say, but it is a reach for you. I also did work in India this summer and I am also writing my essay about that, so hopefully we can pull it off with the essays.</p>

<p>As you know, your GPA is very low. And essays on what you did this summer isn’t very impressive because that’s one of the short answer questions on the Common app. The point of the essay is to tell them something about you that has not been covered anywhere in the application or supplement. I would say CAS is a reach for you but maybe you might be offered admissions into the LSP program.
