hey hey!

Judge my chances at this school please. =]

SAT's - 2150-2250(predicted final composite score)
GPA - 3.4UW -- It's sub-par due to my horrendous sophomore performance(2.9uw). However, I'm hoping my 4.0uw this year will help to balance that out. Do you think colleges will take note of the upward grade trend?

EC's
-I'm quite involved with music. I've been playing guitar for over 6 years now. I take lessons and I also teach kids around my neighborhood. I'm also being trained in classical Indian music(Carnatic)and I spend a lot of my free time composing/arranging my own songs.
-Summer Internship @ a start-up company
-Summer program @ NYU --> I'll try my best to get a recommendation from my professor
-lessons in Capoeira(an Afro-Brazilian style of dance/martial-art)
-Part-time job at CVS/Pharmacy
-Volunteer at the hospital(~120hrs)

Clubs/activities @ school-
Track and Field
Inter-scholastic Frisbee(co-founder of team)
International club
Robotics

Other-
-relatively competetive courseload. I'll have about 4 hns and 6-7 AP courses by the end of my senior year.
-very competetive public school
-Asian/Indian-bilingual
-recommendations will probably be good and I've already started planning out my essays to make them flawless in the final presentation. =)
- I really have no excuse for my horrible 10th grade performance other than a really apathetic mindset towards school. But I hope colleges will note a significant change in my attitude.

I love NYC and it would be a dream come true if I got in. So...be harsh guys. I need honest opinions. Do you think my so so gpa will be a deciding factor or do I still have a decent chance?
