applied ED 1
anyone else?

hey there. you have a great chance for early decision. Is that gpa weighted or uw? Your test scores are a little lower than average but you have good ec's and if your essays and letters were good, you should be a strong applicant.

I also applied ED to Emory. Come join the Emory ED Class of 2013 thread.

Good luck!

You're in.

thanks so much for the feedback!
3.9 weighted
3.85 unweighted

i'm so intimidated...everyone in this forum has crazy ec's and scores.

i'd appreciate more input : )

that's a great unweighted gpa, but a not so great weighted one. Why is the difference between uw and weighted that little when you have taken 9 AP courses? An unweighted gpa of 3.85 is very strong, but if your weighted was 4.0 or above, you would have had good chances. Even now, you have a chance, but it's tough to call because of your SATs and w gpa, but I do have to say your ec's are strong.

my school does calculates gpa weird there's no way to get over a 4.0...they do an internal curve for ap classes....they build in five points someway...idk...weird. i've only gotten a B in AP Chem.... because that class sucks.
