ETC:

School doesn’t have a lot of AP courses available. I would have definitely taken AP World History, AP Pscyh, and like AP Art History if my school offered them. Lang and Lit only offered during senior year, so I just took the Lang test without actually taking the course. Solid letters of REC as well.

You’re top 10%, but can you get any more precise with your class rank? For top colleges, there’s a huge difference between top 2% and top 8%. I know it can be challenging with HS doesn’t rank, but try to ask your counselor for a more precise figure.

when* HS doesn’t rank

I would probably say top 8%? I’m not too confident because our school gives A+s as 4.33333 or 5.3333 if its AP or Honors, and a lot of students have a lot of A+s. I had 2 B+s :’( in AP courses.

Bump.

Bumpie bump

You’re definitely a strong candidate, especially since you’re an Asian going into a non-STEM field, which is already oversaturated. I’m in the same boat as you though, so I can’t say anything concrete, but you’re definitely good for at least a few of those schools on your list.

You are in really good shape to be looking at those colleges you listed. I would say you are set for those universities. They would be a low match to match.
Good Luck on applying.

I agree with BabylonBabylon that you have an advantage because you are Asian going into a non-STEM field. Your scores are where they should be, but I could see others beating you because of ECs. You invested a lot of time into the academic ECs which is important and shows focus in the area you wish to study but it is also good to show that you are diverse with sports and other ECS.

Overall, you Definitely have a shot. You seem driven and hardworking. It is hard because at this point it really is luck. An admissions councilor at U Chicago said that the waitlist and the accepted freshmen class is the exact same. I wish you the best of luck!

It would be awesome if you could chance me back. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1789987-really-confused-would-love-some-guidance.html#latest
