Hi! I’m currently a rising senior at a public high school wondering my chances at getting into the schools of my choice. My stats:

4.0 GPA (unweighted)
2350 SAT
770 Biology and 730 Math 2 Subject tests (retaking math 2 in October)
3 season varsity athlete (soccer, indoor track, outdoor track), captain of indoor and outdoor track teams
Volunteer ~5 hrs a week during the school year
I also intern at a research lab every summer.

I’m a little bit worried because my ECs are sort of lacking. I’ve been able to get my name on some papers while interning at the lab over the summer, if that helps my chances at all. I’m really passionate about doing research and want to major in biochemistry in college. If there’s any other relevant information that I should post that would be helpful, please let me know! Also I’ve taken 3 APs, which were US History, Physics C, and Language and Composition (one 4 and two 5s). I’m taking 4 APs next year. I’m a member of a bunch of clubs at my school, but they’re all really low-key and I don’t hold a position of power in any of them so I doubt that’ll help my chances.

Great GPA and scores. Unless your internship is prestigious or you can be recruit…
Penn-high reach
Swarthmore, Northwestern- mid reach
UVA, UNC- if you’re not instate, then low reach
NYU- low reach/high match
Lehigh-high match
BC- match?
Pitt- safety

Add 1-2 more matches/safeties and you have a good list!
