My List:

Match- Colorado School of Mines, Purdue, UT Austin
Reach- MIT, CMU, Cooper Union, Vanderbilt

I also have a upwards trend in GPA (3.1 Freshman Year) as I was in the hospital for a long stint of time that year

UT Austin is a reach because you are OOS. UT is only 10% OOS and very expensive for OOS. You need a better GPA.

U Maryland would be another good match. And you might consider NC State.

Also you have MIT and CMU but no GaTech? GT is a reach but you have 2 times the chance of being accepted.

CMU only accepts ~300 for CS 150 attend, GT accepts ~1200, 600 attend.

I am moving to either Texas or Florida this summer due to my dad’s job moving. Do you think UT Austin will factor that in to their decision?

@nukemaster

I think. But I’m also pretty sure that you have to live in the state for 2 years or more

No. It will not help.

You will be out of state for admissions regardless. You need min 3 years at a Texas HS to be instate and graduate in Texas. Not sure when Texas would allow you to pay instate if your family moved here. Probably 3 years later.

@Greymeer @bearsfan21

Oh okay gotchu.

Hi @nukemaster

Stats: Great job. Just be sure to explain your medical absence.
ECs:Pretty good. Nothing too spectacular though.
Awards: None listed. HOpefully you have something :smiley:

I am sorry if this is not where I should post this, but what is the sales force thing?

@Wsien2288 PM would be better, but it’s okay

@Wsien2288 its a relatively new software architecture that is becoming popular lately. Trailhead is the official website made by the company to teach salesforce to people
