I am a Pakistani citizen and i wish to apply for Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering. I am also applying for need based financial aid so kindly refer those universities that provide a lot of Financial aid.

My school doesn’t do ranks but i am like top 5 out of a class of 309.

Guys predict my result in these universities(yes i know the list is long but i felt insecure )

Drexel
Bucknell,
University of Rochester
Lehigh
Lafayette
Tufts
Vandy
Duke
John Hopkins
Northwestern
Harvey Mudd College
Cornell
Princeton University SCEA
University of Virginia
Duke University
Yale
Yale NUS

did you drexel EA?

@muu2000 No regular

Drexel will be an easy shot, try for that global scholarship!
You might want to rethink your Ivy school choices. Even if you have good stats and pretty good EC’s, you need to have something exceptional, but of course you can always try.

@muu2000 what about the non ivies?

Trufts (SAT 2 would help), for the rest I think your overall profile will determine (I’m not sure).
Drexel, lehigh and maybe rochester are match schools in my opinion.

overall, you have stacked up a lot of hard-to-get-into schools. Some safety schools and more match schools will help.

The issue is i need Financial aid and normally the universities that give 100% aid are usually very competitive so i can’t do anything about this. If you know any such university do tell me.

Check out the cooper union in NYC

@waswaswasnt it is a great university but then again it is very competitve but still thanks for the advice

Yeah, definitely tough to get in to. I’d guess you have around a 30% chance of getting in, but it’s definitely worth it to apply.

@waswaswasnt Yes i am considering replacing it with Swarthmore.

Hmm. Is Swarthmore’s engineering good?

Yes it’s good but extremely competitive.

Swarthmore uses a more genral approach towards engineering so if you want to do job after Undergraduation then Swarthmore may be not good for you.

Ah, interesting. Good luck
