Each activity can be explained briefly alongside hours/week and title/type/name, and you can elaborate on 1-2 themes in the “additional info” section. I assume you already did that.
Btw having 1 paragraph about illness and 1 paragraph about 2 activities of note is a better use of space than just illness.
How much effect will the lack of explanation have on my application for schools I applied early to? I will make sure to add that extra bit of clarification, but now I am worried about my NU application.
It’s impossible to tell. It’d have helped, certainly, but it won’t be a deal breaker either for sure.
If you don’t get in at name your school, you’ll never know why.
But both your GPA and SAT are low - as ridiculous as that sounds with a 1520. It’s below the 50th percentile although above the 25th.
You have UGA. Great school for IR. Really great. You’re now playing with house money.
Most aren’t getting into Northwestern. So relax. You’ve taken a shot. If it works great. If not you’ve still got a great acceptance and maybe more to come.
