UCs are top notch, but as an OOS you would be paying full retail, without any aid. I would consider also perhaps another Ivy, Rice and Vandy.
@boolaHI Even with those stats Ivies, Rice and Vanderbilt are tough to get into. A lot of applicants with 4.0 gpas and 35 ACT scores are rejected. All of those are reaches for everyone.
Edit: The admit rate at Princeton for someone with a 35 ACT score is 14.5% which is twice the 7.1% admit rate but hardly a good chance of admission. Vandy and Rice there is a better chance I’d say 23%-30% but still no guarantee.
Yes, but are you factoring regional considerations? I know for a fact OKL, is a state that is below the mean, per capita, for applicants–thus rising the OPs chances…
@52balletvieta, if you want to reinforce this internship in China in your application, mention in GC’s letter is not enough. You should do something else to demonstrate a solid case regarding this you were DOING in CHINA. Any kind of caveats will lead to undesirable outcome in the process of applying for the finest institutions.
