Ballet for 11 years at one studio: Accepted into top ballet schools in the nation to stay year round. Refused so I could study.
Internship at The Aerospace Corporation. I am the first high school student to be working with my particular mentor. He usually works with Graduate and PhD students. I'm doing a project a graduate level student would do, and after I'm done, I might get published depending on my results and how well I write my report.
Ballet: Teacher Assistant and Rehearsal Assistant because I am currently severely injured and unable to dance, but I wanted to be a part of the Nutcracker and I couldn't bare not being at the studio. Wrote my essay about this.
Captain: Ocean Science Bowl. Founding member as well.- 3 years
Co-Captain: Science Bowl-1 year

Hooks:
Internship at The Aerospace Corporation as a high school student. Dedication to ballet and science. I spend A LOT of time at ballet, like fourteen hours a week when I was still dancing. I'm not quite sure what else.

Major / Interest
I put down my major as mainly chemistry, physics and engineering. I also showed an interest in getting involved with each of the schools ballet programs. I specifically choose the schools for having either a ballet program or being near a ballet studio.

I would really appreciate if I would be chanced for Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Duke, Stanford, Vassar, Hamilton, Brandeis, Northwestern, Williams, UCB, UCLA, UCI, UCD, UCSD. Thank you very much for your time.

Please? I’m really desperate. Oh but I’m just being impatient here. =)

Not sure of SAT scores, but I have a hard time imagining there are more qualified people attending these schools. I go to a school where 6-15 kids go to YPH/Stanford and I believe you are more qualified then each of them.

Good luck.

You are obviously a very solid applicant who has great stats and resume. HYPS are hard to predict since these are some of the most selective schools in the country. You certainly have a realistic shot at your top schools. I am a little surprised that you don’t have some (slightly) less selective “Ivy” schools on your list, as well as perhaps Rice and WashUStL…

I can’t imagine a single school you wouldn’t get into.

Thank you everyone for such kind words!

Quite honestly, The less selective Ivys, I visited them and for some reason, they didn’t click with me. I was hesitant to visit Harvard, Yale and Princeton, but for some reason, those were the ones I fell in love with. The schools I thought I would love, ended up not being that and the ones I wasn’t going to visit, ended up being my favorites. I just HAD to pick those three, right? =)

hey haha thanks for chancing me. i think you should pretty much get into all of those. what the person said about my thread about usually only getting into 1 of the 3 top UCs doesnt seem THAT true. i mean perhaps it may occur but im sure youll get in everywhere! see you at ucla?!?!?

Haha we’ll never know! Just maybe! =) Good luck with everything!

I think you’re set for UCs, Vassar, Duke, NU, and Brandies. HYPS and Williams are too hard to predict, but you’re def in the running. Good luck :)
