@MLM @tola2015 But will it affect my application adversely if I still put African American? Because it asks what ethnicity that I identify with, and I DO identify with African American (my father looks black. he is from southern Egypt, where the Nubians live)

besides the fact that I mention my ethnicity on the Common App essay…

Well…on that college confidential thread I linked you to many considered Nubian descent to still be African-American. So I guess you could put it.

Bump…any other chances??? :)

I’m pretty new to this game… not familiar with many of the schools you’ve listed. I can say, however, your ec’s are many and diverse, but you may want to consider going more in-depth with the time you have left.

thanks, but what do you mean? @Pluvialis

University of Hawaii: safety
Creighton: match
University of Michigan:low reach
New York University: low reach
Boston University: high match
University of Washington: reach
Boston College: high match
University of Chicago: high reach (as other members said- focus heavily on essays)
Tufts: reach
Cornell: high reach

best of luck, thanks for chancing back!

@RonaldinhoLion UW is not a reach, and BC is much harder than BU so why would BC be a high match while BU is a reach? What’s the deal?

by University of Washington I thought you meant in St. Louis not the actual state of Washington, if you’re referring to the later then it is easily a match for you, I apologize for the mistake, and based on your resume I thought that your indicators matched BC more than BU, but you can disregard my opinion, I’m only here to help
