Chance me (Stanford, Pomona, Princeton etc.)

Hey everyone! I’m applying to Stanford, Pomona (ED), Harvey Mudd, Princeton, Cornell, UCLA, UCB, USC, and UCSD. As of now, how are my qualifications from a statistical and extracurricular standpoint? I’d appreciate any advice you guys have (i.e. which schools would be reaches/matches) Thanks and good luck to all!

-1-on-1 math tutor to low-income high school students

Work Experience/Summer Activities
-During my junior year, I worked at a Mathnasium (Math Learning Center) for about 10 hours a week.
-Teaching internship summer (11) - I taught classes ranging from math and science to basketball and photography to low-income, high-potential middle-schoolers for 5 days a week for 8 weeks.
-Immersion program to Latin America (10) - I spent 6 weeks in Nicaragua living and working with a company to promote Public Health.

Quite a lot of service hours you have there.

All the UC’s and USC will probably take you in; they’re matches/even safeties in a way, with your EC’s, GPA, and test scores. The others are a toss-up. I can’t tell about those.

UCB,UCLA,USC - high match
UCSD - match
Rest - reach

Any SAT Subject test?

@bambi0611 Yeah, sorry forgot to mention those, 800 on Math II and 740 on US History

@SomedayIwill thanks for the advice! For schools like Pomona, Princeton, Mudd, and Stanford, what aspect of my app would be lacking? I know my EC’s aren’t spectacular, but wouldn’t they still be considered pretty strong from an admissions officer’s point of view?

^They are a reach for anybody, given the low acceptance rate. Too many qualified applicants for too few spaces.

Congratulations on your academic achievements!
