i am not expecting to get accepted into any of these schools, bc i started the application at like january 1st and wasnt even considering boarding school

im a east asian, attending international school in southeast asia- im not chinese btw my parents are both east asian and i was born in east asia (so im tryna say im not asian american)

im applying for financial aid btw- my parents can only pay 10000 dollars

grades: i dont know how to convert into gpa, but i think my grades are about 3.7-8/4.0

ssat: 75% bc i didnt study hehe (2109)

duolingo english test: 140

ec:
competitive swimming (7+ years- we dont have varsity or jv and all that stuff but if there is one i’ll prolly be in varsity) (i’ve excluded swimming for berkshire and stpauls btw)

oboe 3 years (first oboe in orchestra)

math competitions (mathcounts, amc etc but im not that good- honors in school and self study grade 10 math)

4-5 mun since grade 6

choir 7 years

school publication 2 years

trilingual (fluent in 3: eng + native language + one language ive learnt for 8 years)

essay:
overall it wasnt that bad, but i rushed it

interviews:
pea madeira and berkshire was good
the others okay
hotchkiss not good

recommendation letters:
i am assuming its good bc my teachers like me

um yea thats all

It is extremely hard to gain financial aid as an international applicant. Having an SSAT score well below the school’s average will not help. I can’t chance you because I’m a kid, but I do know it will be an uphill battle- not just for you, but for all of us.
