Science/math program?
idk.. i heard there are ppl who got into CAS with like 3.4 GPA and 1300 SAT, so i wasnt sure if my SAT2 scores and GPA will cover up my sat score lol

Is there any possible way you could re-take the SAT's? Maybe in January, I'm sure they'll let you. It's weird you scored well on AP exams and subject tests, but screwed up the SAT and ACT so badly. Those scores are well below avg for NYU, but are the only real blemish on your application. They won't even think you're a poor test-taker, because you do well on other standardized tests. Overall strong application with one blemish often means LSP...although I know of a lot of people with better stats than yours who have been LSP'd. What's your major? Is it Math?

SAT Reasoning/ACT score report due by: 15-JAN for NYU .. and it's test date is like Jan 24th lol
I applied to Dec SAT, and didn't bother take it
like seriously, I didn't think I could've improve.
maybe for math, i might get 800 but I don't think it'll help much, my problem is CR of course lol
anyways, my intended major is pre dent, so bio or bio chem i guess

I can go to any major for pre- thigny right? lol
then possibily chem or math..

anyways, I saw reading 20 is like 500 in SAT, and 36 is 800 of course, then it's like 1300? LOL
that's why I hope I have some chances..

If they offered an ACT test again near my house on dec, I could've score higher prolly
at least a point I guess
Oct ACT, I guessed like 15 reading questions..

also, i'm applying to HEOP!
so i hope that does me a good too lol

You should've taken them again in December. Most people always score 200 points higher on average on their second time because they seen the test before. Even if you brought up the CR to 500 it is better then nothing. =/ o well.

Hopefully, NYU will see what you have to offer besides standardized test because everything else is great.=]

If you live in NY and have a low income you will def. have a high chance( wouldn't see why) to be in HEOP. But the catch is you have to be in an intense 6 week summer program while you could've got in without HEOP.

lol
since HEOP offers scholarship as well, I won't complaint with 6 week summer program
I go to FLHS, which some ppl might know, in Queens
btw, i took SAT twice lol

I'm a Korean, I came to America when I was in 7th grade
so that might help me out too lol

Well if your SAT score where to high for HEOP but your income meet the eligibility for HEOP, they would've accepted you regularly and give you the same amount of aid as you would've got from HEOP. I beleive. Or atleast thats what I heard fromt the HEOP office when I asked.
But yea HEOP is a great opportunity and hope to see you there in the summer =].

I find out if I got in through HEOP later this week or next.

For HEOP your SAT has to be in the range of 1000-1250(Math and CR)
There is no GPA limit and if your parents make under 20k a year then your income is eligible for the program.
Also have to be a NY resident.

Seems to be you meet all the requirement :).

During the session/interview for HEOP the lady said that HEOP pays 90% of the tuition which includes room and board. The other 10% you would need to find loans, scholarship ect.. 90% is fine with me lol. =D

Anyways, my Stats were 3.3 gpa and 1120 SAT(M+CR).My essay, supplements and recommendation where kickass though.
They do look at your EC, ect.. to see you did stuff. All because you might be eligible for the program doesn't mean they will pick you for the next step(interview).
Just don't worry and apply and see =].
