Hi! I’m planning to transfer in fall 2017. I’m going for UCI or UCSD. UCI would be greater for me in terms of academic goals, however.
Major: Pharmaceutical Sciences at UCI, or pharmacological chemistry at UCSD.
These majors only require transfer students to complete one full year of Biology and one full year of chemistry (almost done). There are no pre-reqs that are required to be done.
GPA: 3.75 Hopefully it’ll go up higher by the end of Fall 2016.
IGETC: almost done!
Pre-reqs: I’m taking a genetics course right now, and I will try to squeeze in calc III or something equivalent to that in my very last semester. Perhaps I will go over the maximum amount of units next semester to squeeze in some other course.
TAG: UCI
Extracurricular: I work two jobs. One at an ice cream shop, the other as a ZUMBA INSTRUCTOR. So I participate a lot in charity work with that job, teach classes (yes I have my own students and help them with their goals!) as well as working in the health and fitness field. In the past, I’ve worked in health facilities as a dietary aide and activities assistant.
I am an Honors student taking honors classes at my community college. By the end of this year, I will be attending a UCSD conference for a biodiversity project. My history professor wants to nominate me for the HTCC conference taking place at UCI.
Anything is appreciated. Feel free to ask questions too. Thank you.
